What do I need?
An up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate is required. This must be organised by the tutor.
Strong subject knowledge in your area of expertise.
The ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons.
Tutors should have access to Zoom (with the possibility of needing a Pro account for longer sessions)
Tutors should be confident using online whiteboard tools such as Whiteboard.fi to support interactive teaching.
Passion, charisma, and clear communication skills, to help inspire and motivate students.
Note: You do not require qualified teacher status (DBS)
How do I sign up?
Click the Sign up button.
Fill in your basic details and provide a contact address.
We will be in contact and request further information, such as an up to date DBS certificate. This will need to be sorted by the tutor themselves.
Once successful, begin creating your tutor profile!
It is that easy!
How do classrooms work?
Note: Both 1-to-1 tuition options, as well as online classroom options are available!
Once you have created your tutor profile, click ”create a class”.
Then indicate the subject, topic, date/time of session, grade (e.g. Foundation/Higher), duration, class size limit, and price.
Typically, a tutors price is determined by experience teaching, as well as whether the tutor has a qualified teacher status (if you have a QTS, be sure to write it in the description).
Link your Zoom account directly to the class, making it easy for students to join with one click.
You will receive a notification once a student signs up and pays, and the lesson will be saved in your dashboard for easy access!
Tutor training
All new tutors are given access to Webinars covering how to use the platform, set up classrooms, link Zoom to your classroom, and navigate online tools such as Whiteboard.Fi.
There is also an optional Q&A webinar, where you can ask questions, share best practices, and learn from other tutors.
Tutors also have access to Tutor e all’s email address/contact number for any burning questions which need answering!
